OUR FARM

Pasture-led farming.
Jersey by choice.

A commercial dairy platform in Western Southland, shaped around practical systems, good stockmanship and the Jersey cow.

THE FARM STORY

Rooted in Western Southland.

Maple Fern Jerseys is based around Riverton / Gropers Bush in Western Southland, New Zealand.

The farm combines pedigree Jersey breeding with the day-to-day disciplines of a commercial dairy system. The goal is straightforward: healthy cows, consistent routines, strong pasture utilisation and practical decision-making.

The Maple Fern name reflects two places important to the family — Canada's maple and New Zealand's fern.

Four things that matter.

Animal care

Good stockmanship starts with calm handling, observation and consistent routines.

Reliability

Dairy farming depends on people and systems doing the right things at the right time.

03

Practicality

We value solutions that work day after day, not complexity for its own sake.

04

Progress

Better genetics, better information and better routines are ongoing work.
